A few readers emailed after I posted the Week 7 Pitching Planner:

Subject: Attn: Pitching Planner

I'm in a 12 team H2H league and John Lackey is about to come off the DL and I have to drop a Starting Pitcher in order to activate him.  My current pitching staff consists of Justin Verlander, Dan Haren, Daisuke Matsuzaka, John Maine, James Shields, Shaun Marcum, Cliff Lee, & Edison Volquez.  Who should I drop?  All of my starters are pitching very well so far this year with the exception of Verlander.  Do I dare drop him?  Thanks.

-------------
I would drop Marcum at this point.

I've got one starting spot left and three guys: Ian Snell, Derek Lowe, and Bronson Arroyo. Who should I start?

Devin Mitchell

----------------
Lowe is struggling. Snell faces a first-place team and an expected top contender. I think Arroyo, who was better last time out, cools off the red-hot/first-place Marlins. They are playing above their heads right now.

Hey Eric i am waiting for your pitching planner to come out, but these are my options on the waiver wire for 2 starters,Zito-Maholm-Lannan-K.Kendrick,Slowey and Figuara i can't spell his name off hand but he is from the Metsok let me know if you can. Thanks,John.
-------------------------
Maholm is no longer a two-start pitcher. Slowey or Kendrick are the less objectionable, but both carry risk, obviously.

FEEDBACK:
Relating to pitching planner for week 7, i'm kind of in a good pickle right now. I've got Burnett, Wainright, and Oswalt who are all locks this week with 2 starts. The other 4 spots are all a toss-up, with Jarjens correct me on the spelling if wrong, Greinke, Hally, Volquez, Wagner, and Nathan. Which 4 of the 6 would you go with?
-------------------------------------------------------
Jurrjens is a two-starter now.

Halladay and Volquez always start at this point. Take Wagner over Nathan for the final spot.

Shields, definitely. And then Owings, probably.
